ABOUT
A clown kills his wife... And yet everyone laughs and applauds him. Inspired by the experiments regularly carried out with clowns in prisons and in hospitals, this new production invites the audience to a somewhat special experience, around the notions of Reality, Fiction, and the very ambiguous relationships between the two. In a special Unit for Difficult Patients, in a forensic psychiatric center, we play a strange role-playing game… Indeed, what is “real” on an opera stage? A question already at the heart of Verismo operas, at the end of the 19th century, which we propose to revisit, in the light of our modernity.
